VIVE MARS PRESENTS BEST SHOT! HORROR 3 COMPETITION

Each participant will submit a 1-3 minute horror film entry using VIVE Mars CamTrack. Submissions will only be accepted from Sept. 15th, 2025 - Oct. 20th, 2025. Winners will be announced on Halloween, Oct. 31st, 2025. Be sure to check the rules to make sure you qualify.

Don't have Mars CamTrack but still want to compete? Don't worry, join our VIVE Mars Facebook Group and see if there's a studio near you to collaborate with.

COMPETITION DATES:

• START: Submissions open Monday, Sept. 15th, 2025, 12:00 AM PST
• DEADLINE: Submissions close Monday, Oct. 20th, 2025, 11:59 PM PST
• WINNERS: Winners will be announced on VIVE Mars' Instagram and Facebook on Halloween, Oct. 31st, 2025

PRIZES:

• INDUSTRY EXPERT AWARD: a 1-on-1 video conference with a leading expert in the world of virtual production.

COMPETITION RULES:

• The participant must be a VIVE Mars Facebook Group Member‍
• The participant must use VIVE Mars CamTrack with one of the following:
  a. LED Wall, Green Screen, or Augmented Reality
  b. Post-Production VFX – Record your camera position for offline VFX using Path Recorder
  c. VCAM - Animation using VIVE Mars for virtual camera motion
• Each participant is allowed only one entry as the DIRECTOR
  a. We encourage production teams to submit multiple entries with each member directing their own entry
• The entry must be an original work
• The participant must submit 2 files:
  a. Best Shot! HORROR entry (This refers not only to a single take or shot, but can also be a sequence lasting 1 to 3 minutes.)
  b. Behind-The-Scenes entry (Must include footage of Mars CamTrack)

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Submissions will only be accepted from Sept. 15th, 2025 - Oct. 20th, 2025
2. The duration of the Best Shot! HORROR entry must be between 1 - 3 minutes (This refers not only to a single take or shot, but can also be a sequence lasting 1 to 3 minutes.)
3. The duration of the Behind-The-Scenes entry must be between 1 - 5 minutes (Must include footage of Mars CamTrack)
4. The submission form must be filled out (will be provided in submission link)
5. The videos must be in .mp4 or .mov format

1. Best Scare
2. Best Cinematography  
3. Best Story 
4. Best Performance
5. Best Behind-The-Scenes
